The 2005 Stretch Glass Society club display (pieces are contributed by most of the participants) featured stretch glass made by the "minor" manufacturers - Central, Jeannette, Lancaster and Vineland. These are part of the Lancaster and Jeannette items.

Joanne Rodgers (with her husband David), former Stretch Glass Society President and board member was happy to receive a large red stretch glass comport with flower arrangement in appreciation for her time and efforts contributed to the Society.

Stretch Glass Society members get a chance to preview items for sale at the opening reception held the first evening of the convention.

Every year, the Stretch Glass Convention holds its popular Glass Stampede where members are allowed to enter the "for sale" area for the first time and purchase a favorite item. Members enter the area in order of randomly drawn numbers. This ensures that every member gets at least one item that they desire!

Various seminars are held during the convention featuring information on iridescent stretch glass and other types of glass.

David Shetlar, director of technical information, holds a question and answer seminar featuring the club display.

Dean Six, glass historian, author and managing editor of All About Glass, the publication of the West Virginia Museum of American Glass, Ltd., gave an inspiring and thought provoking talk after the annual banquet.

Sharon and Bill Mizell gave a talk on carnival glass patterns.

Members are encouraged to have personal displays and the Simpson Family display featured stretch glass covered bon-bons and candy jars.

Members were also encouraged to assemble special settings of stretch glass. This bedroom/ bathroom setting is in Florentine Green, a popular stretch glass color.
