The SGS 36th annual convention was once again held at the Comfort Inn in Marietta, Ohio. The club display titled "A Garden of Vases" showed examples of vases from all the glass companies that made vases with a stretch glass finish. There were short ones, fat ones, tall ones as well as fan shaped ones. Members brought for display, vases of all colors, with the most popular being red, followed by amethyst and tangerine.

Along with the club display may members brought many of their favorite vases for personal displays. Many members also bring Stretch Glass to sell as shown by the number of round sale tables containing price-tagged items.
